Stainless steel is very resistant to chemical attack, there is nothing in this product that will attack stainless steel,
The product is a fine powder, and therefore it does depend upon how smooth a surface is that is it being applied to.
If the surface is not smooth , the trace powder could become embedded in any of the pores.
Vacuuming or Cleaning with soap and water should remove the trace powder.
It is advisable to test the product first in an inconspicuous area first.
